Happy Compass was the original name of what is now Una. For the past two years, I’ve been part of this project, leading user research and applying user-centered methodologies throughout the design process.
This case study shares the journey from the very beginning — what worked well, what didn’t, the challenges we faced, and the key learnings that shaped Una into the habit building app it is today.
Our mission is to support women in building healthy, sustainable habits through our app. To make that possible, we designed a habit-building mechanism at the core of the experience. I explain through my contribution to the project.
After a couple of years, Happy Compass evolved into Una, and we officially launched our web app at the end of September.
Una is a habit building platform designed specifically for women, helping them optimise their health and wellness through tailored guidance and evidence-based support.
The project is still in active development. As one of the Lead User Researchers, I actively participated differently in 2 projects: Community Feature and Habit Build Mechanism..
I’m leading the research and development of Una’s Community feature, an experience designed to deepen connection, support, and belonging among our users. Until our in-app Community is ready, these circles will live on WhatsApp.
